    The red/cream/blue one is simply a staight line stitch under the houses. The gold/tan one doesn't have any quilting in the outer border. The multi-colored border is a double line diamond.

    are you talking with a regular machine? any pointers. I am doing a king size and doing it in three sections and then then sewing the sections together. Its a pain. I have one more section to do and then will put the borders on and quilt them
