Ditto. Welcome from Northern California. Quilt she will use for a long time. I agree about this being your first quilt. Sure looks good to me. BrendaK

Beautiful! So sorry to hear about your Ouchy! Lot of ladies have had that misfortune..so far mine have been so small but I still want to to count it....as it is my understanding its not only newbies its the most experienced as well! So chalk it off as getting your mishap over and welcome to the beautiful world of quilters!!!

Thanks for sharing your picture. I want to do a tumbling block quilt someday.
I really like your design. Impressive!

mamab, welcome to QB. Your quilt is beautiful. I love the colors and the pattern too. This is your first quilt? Seriously? Hope your boo-boo wasn't too bad. Those cuts are real ouchers. I had someone to tell me to keep my pinky on the fabric/table off the left side of the ruler (other side of where you are cutting). This helps to keep the ruler from slipping and keeps my fingers away from the cutting edge.

We look forward to seeing more of your talent expressed in quilts.

Beautiful quilt, and good lessons to learn especially the one about rulers! Hope you are ok.
