they are really nice!

When you decide to try the different width strips, it works better for me to keep them in the order they were cut (and I think I do my unpicking the same as you do). The first 1-inch strip you do is a bit scary but after you do it, you will discover it's not any worse than any other strip piecing :)

You will really like the curves you get from the uneven piecing.

Love your Bargellos! Very pretty. I too think the way I first learned is easier.(for me anyway) You don't have to match each & every seam because the seam falls in the center of the block in the next row. I am making one of Barb's Bargellos though I sat it aside for now. Another UFO!
I will get it done though.

I am so excited, and scared, lol, to do a bargello with the smaller widths.. but my kids don't call me stubborn for nothing - I am stubbornly refusing to let a one inch strip intimidate me in a new project!! So fun.. so excited to begin soon!
