Yarn or Fabric

I want to make one so badly! I have a slew of really odd fabrics that I have come upon over the years that are just ridiculous for lack of better description. They will be perfect for a kaleidescope! My mother makes them all the time - I have yet to see one of hers. She keeps talking about them but I have not seen them....

I wonder what hers look like...!

Those are so cool!! It IS amazing to know they came from the same fabric. I have some fabric that would work--but sheesh--learn another method? Hmmm... nah--I'd rather just look your your pics!! :D
