A quick heads up. My dsil said her sewing machine repair man said that fleece can cause build up problems faster than other fabric and to clean and oil your machine more often.

I don't see a thing wrong with it. It looks soft and warm and I love the colors too.

I'm not seeing whats wrong, I love the quilt! I've made two with fleece backing that were pre-printed with military
emblems, one I didn't use batting and everywhere there was yellow it came through to the quilt top, only that color...
so next one I used a very thin batting and was much better. I pin alot and smooth out as I go cuz it does want to
stretch and pucker! I still love it!

Some time ago I did a lap quilt with just the fleece. No batting. I did find that if I wasn't very careful it stretched. I just kept it quite loose on the frame and did a large meander. It worked out fine with no puckers. Maybe I was just lucky. Oh, I spray basted it also, so maybe that helped.
Your quilt is very pretty.

I think that maybe you didnt have it tight enough! I have made more then one thing with fleece,I hand quilt,
start at middle, work my way out, I am not perfect in anyway, cant say that I had trouble like you did,I also get my fleece at walmart.

I think it's beautiful. The only time I used fleece as a backing I quilted it on my frame and that worked fine.

Love the look of your quilt from here! So just so I understand, you FMQ this with your feed dogs up? You only pinned andid not spray baste? You used polar fleece? The reasons for all the questions is my daughter would like me to make her a throw with minke on the back. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks for your post.
