GMTA! I was just thinking it looked shabby chic... & beautiful! This was an "ugly quilt"? Ever? Not in my world! This is so soft & cozy-looking! And your borders are the perfect finishing touch (as will be that red binding). Oh, I don't blame you for keeping this little gem!

Very, very pretty. Great job on both your parts. Every now and then you need a quilt for yourself and this looks like the perfect one for you.

I have experienced not liking something I made also. After putting it away for awhile, usually I can finish it and like it somehow, or take it apart and start all over. I have done the latter several times!

The border added zing and spice to the very sweet top.

I just love your Coming Up Roses. Very pretty. I can't imagine why she didn't like it. I think it's gorgeous.

Beauty is in the eyes.... Great save! Love how you extended it with your checkered board strips and your borders. Looking forward to seeing the quilted finish. Thanks for sharing.

Anything with roses on it is a winner in my book. I think this is really pretty, so love the fact you have renamed it. Great job!

How lucky you were to receive a beautiful quilt. Your borders make it really pop. I love the fabrics. Cannot see one thing ugly about it.
