Rodney, it's not always that the recipient didn't appreciate it. Sometimes the owner passes to the next life and their family has no connection to the quilt, thus, it gets donated. But donated is much better than trashed!

Wow again, I always wonder where it came from and why they gave it up?

It is a bright, happy quilt indeed, especially after being rescued from the thrift store. Unfortunately, some people do not realize the value of a quilt and the labor and love that goes into making one.

Very pretty, glad you saved it.
I would rather my quilts end up for sale, anywhere as someone who wants them will buy them. I hope mine do not end up in the trash.

What a rescue! It always breaks DH and my hearts when we see quilts at thrift stores, estate auctions and such. We find it so sad that no one on the family wanted these wonderful treasures.

It really tugs at my heart when I see a handmade quilt at a thrift store. I found a hand pieced/hand quilted one at a thrift store and had to buy it. I am sure we felt the same way about them. I think the person who made them would be so happy to know they found good homes.
