I was thinking about this cute idea here,
and in the midst of some chore or other, Spang it dawned on me (I love it on those rare occasions that my little LED brain light comes on and I actually have an idea)
that the Four Sided-Placemat does not have to be limited to placemats.
I had this mental image of it growing.

So I dragged (we say drug for past tense of drag but it sounds kinda hickish) the BFF down to the goodie store and told her to pick out 4 fabrics that she would actually and truly like to see on her table and that she would actually use. I suggested maybe seasonal, or vintage, or whatever she loves.
She did, whining all the way What For???

So I took her choices and went home and made this.

When I brought it to her, she loves it, and it has her choices in the prints.
Two of the prints are seasonal, and the others are just her style retro.

Not sure these pictures show it best, but being quilters, you-all will see what it's meant to show.

What do you think?

.

4 pieces, 1/3 yrd x width of fabric, trimmed and stitched.

Thank you so much for explaining and getting the pattern. I had never heard of them before.

This pattern makes up amazingly quickly!
Try it, and post some pictures.

I had the same problem of not being able to open the pattern. Could someone post the original instructions?
