    ... Finally finished! Woo hoo.
I mentioned this quilt in another thread about tape tips. It's for my grandson who will be 16 this Thursday.

    Yea! I made it.

    Thank you!

You can't see it in the photo, but several of the prints are metallics and glitters with LOTS of little stars.

I used EQ5 to design it (4 years ago) and I had to change it because I didn't have enough material to make all the blocks the same as the four corners I started with.

I didn't have anything specific in mind when I bought the fabric, but this has taught me a lesson: Have a plan and buy enough of what you need before you start a project.
I was lucky I was able to finish with what I had.

What a wonderful quilt. We, Grandma's, outdo ourselves on our grandkids. They deserve it.

    Thanks, Patty!

Four years ago, on his birthday, I used one block I had finished for a 24" quilted pillow and he loves that.
Now he has the complete set.

I *could* do a lot more quilting on it, but, hey, he's only 16!

Welcome to the board and congratulations on finishing. I have a few quilts that were 4 or more years in the making. When you hand quilt it just seems to take that long no matter what! So I went out and got a longarm.
