Freestyle Star from Issue 1 of Block Magazine

I didn't have the template that was called for and didn't really realize that the star points were supposed to touch until I was too far along to turn back. I do like my border more than the pattern. I took the parts that were cut out of each block and sewed them together.

Love it. Your quilt, your design! I do like the pieced border.

love it, but the pieced border really adds to it.

This is how the quilt is suppose look! This is what you planned! You made your quilt in an original and unique way! This is your story and you are sticking to it! I really like the way it turned out; you really did make it your own.

I think it is beautiful just the way it is. The quilting is very nice.

You made a great "save" and if you hadn't told us, we would never have known that it was a pattern boo-boo, but rather a neat pattern made by you.

I believe UFOs are like scraps, ferns and dust bunnies. Once you get two, they send spores out into the air and more just happen anywhere the spores meet.

Very nice - I like how I can make the white stars disappear and the darker colours dominate when I look "through" the quilt.
