Congratulations on taking a lot of unusable bits and pieces apart and making them into a gorgeous 2-sided quilt!

Thank you
I know what you mean, really!! I encourage you to keep taking it apart. You will be more satisfied at the end... but yes, it surely takes a lot of time...
I keep telling myself that the journey is as important as the destination!! *wink*

You're very welcome
I'am sure you can do a similar border with squares and HST... but I used the pieces I had and added to them

if ever I can figure it out I will let you know. I'm sure I can, but I don't know how long it will take me loll

Beautiful quilts. So glad you were able to remake the beginnings into something so nice. Some of my first quilts were of that star pattern.

Both sides of that quilt are stunning and the doll quilts will be a beautiful keepsake for the girls. What an angel you are for doing them and then gifting them to her.

Your hard work turned out a beautiful quilt. I know your friend and her granddaughters loved them.

the quilts are beautiful.

i sure hope your friend appreciates what you did to make them! a lot of non-sewers have no clue of the " magic" you performed with what you were given.
