That quilt is amazing ... it is so beautiful! I am in awe at what you did with what you received.

What a good friend. Your work is beautiful. I hope your friend appreciates the effort and time it took to make this is a keepsake for her and her family. Nicely done.

This is as much a story about humanity as it is about a quilt. I was so touched by your story and the pictures that I forwarded it on to my 4 daughters. They aren't quilters yet, but they "got it". Thanks for sharing and thanks for what you did. Beautiful and also a reminder that we get back 10 fold blessings of what we give. I hope you are feeling that too. I love the creativity and generosity of the people on this forum. I hope it all rubs off on me.

I just took the leftover pieces I had (losanges) and, out of the light green fabrics I cut triangles to fit and out of the white fabric I cut squares
I don't know if you can see from this picture?

I will scan a graphic that I did and I will post it here.

I tried to find a site that would explain it better but I did not find any.

if any of the ladies here on the board have a better idea or better drawing skills than me, I welcome them to explain it better.

I am very touched by all the generous comments that everybody wrote here,
thank you very much !!
