Just 2 more solid borders... I figured out the NY Beauties, but they took ALL DAY to piece just 4 of them.

Hah! All day! It would take me all year to piece the New York Beauties. And maybe put me in the loony bin. You have to be both precise and patient. Patience, sometimes, but precision on that level is beyond me. Your work is amazing! Very beautiful.

thank you... What was driving me nuts is that I shortened my stitch length so the paper would tear more easily; but that meant I had 3 times as many stitches to rip out when I screwed something up (about every 4th piece)

I have such admiration for you, and others who do such intricate piecing. I love to play with fabric and colors, but that is amazing. And it deserves to be recognized.

That is a beautiful quilt. I love the NY beauties in the corners and your batiks look great. You did a superb job. What pattern did you use?

Designed it myself with EQ6. I will be writing this up as a pattern when I have some "spare time"

I've actually been playing with similar designs for almost 2 years now, and I have a few variations on this theme.

I'm going to have to think about it for a bit. I originally planned to hand it to my long-arm quilter that I use (since it's king-sized quilt), but I may attempt to do something on my own. All I know so far is that I want something "special" in the white diamonds in the border.
