Thanks everyone. She has an artistic eye and loves to do crafts and she has done some really nice work. Last year I made her a design board with many pieces of fabric and she likes to cut shapes and arrange them. The problem is, she lives in Washington State and I live in Louisiana. I do visit as much as possible. She has two brothers, one older, one younger, and I do enjoy them too.

I say get them hooked young. My daughter told me (she is 18) the other day not many of her friends know how to sew and she was so proud I taught her basics over Christmas break. I think (I am in my 40's) not many of my own friends do it and if we don't teach them.. who will? an entire generation and future generation with fewer and fewer woman (and men) who would even consider the art. How sad! Your little one is so precious and I hope you show her her picture on the web and everyones kudos for her. SHE DID GREAT!
