This is so vibrant and cheerful, the colors go well together. I love the field of flowers on the back. This certainly would be a focal point in draped prominently in any room, would start a lot of conversations and lots of touching and admiring! Many times the objections are to not wearing the color combinations but when included in a quilt, it's amazing how people can be won over!

I love your quilt, it is beautiful. I to remember the match rules. I had dressed for school in a pretty red skirt and pink sweater and was told to go change I could not go out in pink and red. I was about nine years old but I never forgot how bad I felt.

Oh, I'd be up for that scrap (isn't that another name for a fight?)! I love this quilt... so cheerful! And the fabrics kind of remind me of the 50's (I was just a mere pup back then... LOL!). This is fabulous! That pattern sounds like a really good one. Did you like using it?

A couple of years ago when pink & brown were such a hot combo? It reminded me of a girl in my grade school. She had a brown & pink dress that all the other little girls thought was ghastly. I was fascinated by it. So, either I'm weird (hey... no comments from the Peanut Gallery!) or way ahead of my time! To this day, I never see a pink & brown quilt that I don't think of Lilly's dress.

Thanks guys. I don't even know why I bought that jelly roll. I am getting more daring in my old age. The pattern was really fun to do. There was an awful lot of cutting involved, and choosing where to put the colors to best advantage. I am trying to stretch myself to do things I wouldn't normally do. This will probably end up being a charity quilt at some point. I have about 6 or 7 ready to gift someone.
This would make a fabulous charity quilt... so cheerful... back & front!
