Oh I bet you got the Grandmother of the Year award this year at Christmas!
Choosing quilts like that, which have special significance will mean a lot to them.

Your bed panels look great and are sure to be enjoyed! I didn't know that panels were made in bed size. Yours are the first I have seen. Please share where you have found your panels. Thanks for posting the pictures of your quilts.

Actually I did a lot of searching for them as you know most panels are only cot size! I found them on E bay advertised as doona covers (continental quilt covers) and they stated that they were cotton so I thought I could unpick the covers and have them quilted. As luck would have it when they arrived they had a matching sheet and pillowcase and the sheet was exactly the same as the cover so I unpicked the hem, laundered them and had them quilted. So now they have a whole matching set. Superman has a red bed and Batman has the blue bed. We have the boys staying with us for a few days and when they return home my daughter will have their rooms redone with the new bedding. They are only 5 and 3 but I figure they will not out grow these quilts for a long time.
