Beautiful quilt. I love the 3-D effect. I know it will be enjoyed until it is threadbare. And, I learned an interesting lesson about fixing a problem. Your solution to replacing the quilting is really great. I'll keep that in my tips file.

I had a similar incident but caught it BEFORE quilting. Three others looked at it and didn't spot the error either. I decided to take a picture to send to a friend and thanks to the picture the mistake just jumped out at you! Now I tahe a picture of my tops before quilting
