It is beautiful. I will just have to keep admiring yours. I know I would drive myself crazy trying to peice one myself.

Is there a pattern for a beginner? Yours is so beautiful. I sure would like to try one. Is it true this is all quilted when finished? Does not need to be long arm stitched?

You do have to have this quilted once you have pieced the top it is not a quilt as you go.

I'm not sure about the hours, probably 25-30.

It is pretty easy for me to choose the fabrics. I usually start with one fabric I really like and the start building from that. I don't pay a lot of attention to going from very lightest to darkest in one colorway. I ususally work with at least two color families. it does takes me a while to assemble the fabrics though, because I don't have a big quilt shop nearby so I sometimes have to wait to finish my selection when I go out of town.
