    "Haley's Garden"

Hello Everyone! I wanted you to see the quilt I made for my Granddaughter. It's a disappearing 4-patch pattern and the shams were made from the pieces that were left so I had no wasted fabric. There's a picture of what the block looked like before I took a deep breath, cut it up, then re-assembled it. That picture came out a little large and I wasn't able to adjust it. I hand quilted little hearts and doodle lines in the orange blocks just to add something extra. I will probably take the shams and add that little detail to them also. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Awesome quilt for a young girl! Don't you just love the look of D4P? Did you see the fun setting for D4P that CarolynMT did titled Garden of Gold?

Yes I did... I studied it to try and figure out what she did to get that design! This pattern is so neat... makes lots of designs with every twist of the cut blocks! Thank you so much!

Thank you MamaBear. I had to break it up somehow. The colors are so bright that my eyeballs couldn't rest so I inserted another one of my favorite patterns! I used this same technique as sashing on a quilt I made last year for my youngest GD.

I love this! You know what I find really neat? (and I had to go back to your close up shot to see)...the way the round flowers add another dimension of geometry to the pattern! I thought you had sewn circles & semi circles in there, then I realized you had said D4P...and had to look again. It's a neat effect!
    Beautiful quilt set!

Thanks so much for posting the original 4-patch - it's fun to see how the pattern developed. Very nice!
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

I REALLY like the squares on point down the one side. Really sets off the quilt! I'm going to "steal" this idea, its great!
