I like your quilt- the colors are great and will be perfect for a boy. Why do we always point out our mistakes on our projects, if you hadn't mentioned it not matching most of us on board would never have noticed. The recipient of this quilt will be so grateful to receive your gift he won't be looking for mistakes - he will just love it. I also watched Jennie's video and loved the look of the slanted hexies but was thinking how much easier it would be to make the rows straight. Sometimes too much thinking hurts my head. Beautiful job.

my exact reasoning for doing this in vertical lines instead of slanted. I try and steer away from things that make my head hurt!

Nicely done! I've been wanting to do something similar with my half-hexie ruler too. Great use of scraps!
