I would love to show all of you my hand quilted wholecloth quilt that I made for her wedding. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to send the picture, all I have are photos. Can I scan and then send the picture?

Oh My, you certaintly do beautiful work. I love them all, especially the first on and the star. I machine quilt my quilts, because I hate to do hand work. I have never attempted to hand quilt a quilt, and probably never will. I know I would never ever get it finished. I admire the work and I know it is hard work of all who hand quilt., but it just isn't something I would want to do personally. We have several in our quilting guild that do hand quilts and they are just beautiful. I hope the art of hand quilting never dies out because it really is beautiful and unique. Keep up the GOOD work, and don't get too discouraged with all of us who don't do hand work. Everyone has their own thing and some of us just don't like to do hand work. I think everyone admires hand quilting. I do agree that there should be a special section in all quilt shows just for hand quilted quilts.

I love your tree with the red bird! It reminds me of the Monkey Puzzle trees around here! I just started hand applique because my daughter wants a horse quilt. They will be pink ponies. She is very pink!

I have lots of family in Portland and Sandy Oregon...if I call before I come over, will you teach me??? These are so exquisite, they should be in a museum themselves. What wonderful works of art. I love what you are doing to enhance the future of quilting for hand quilters. Wonderful Joanie

I used to hand quilt for many many years... ( I have been quilting almost 30 now.. and steadily for the last ten...I remember not liking the machine look at all.. then it happened.. I wanted to create a top and move on.. and always had about 5 quilts in my head ;).. so i started to send them out and that works for me now. I can appreciate this work you do.. it is beautiful and timeless.. I am sure your family will treasure them always. My gosh and someone who is a recipient of one of your labor of love quilts should be thrilled ! I have started to do some hand applique these days ..I recently did this bird while driving as a passenger for 6 hours hours.
