If you have some scraps maybe make a tissue holder or credit card holder and let her see that and see what she says about it.

I think it is adorable but I can appreciate the work that went into it and at my age it's one of a kind and fun! If you won't be offended why not show her something you've been working on and If she likes it tell her it's hers. If she's not interested in it, it's just not her style now. my taste has improved with age how bout yours?

Give it to her. If she does not like the fabric you may want to offer to make another one in a fabric she would like.

You can go one further here...show her a sample of several different fabrics and include the purse's fabric sample. You could ask her if she thought soandso would like it..
Ask about each one, that way you'll have time to make another if she doesn't like yours.

I would have to know what she likes, but I love it!

After re-reading all of these, I am sure we are all really curious what choice you come up with and if you do give it to her...what she thinks of it??? Please let us know. :-)

I think she will love it. If you decide to do a different one for her, I'll take this one. lol

I make many bags for friends and while I would just love to surprise them, I let them choose their own fabrics. I would have been way off base with some of them. BTW, I love your purse.

Never let a man pick out a purse! I like it. Does your future d-i-l wear busy prints - or blues? Your best clue might be to ask her if she likes the purse, and if she does, it's hers!

BTW, how thoughtful of you to make this for her. And my d-i-l loves it when I make her something, although she usually picks out the fabric and/or design. It may take the surprise out of it, but she has something that she treasures.
