    Headliner, by Mari Martin

I hustled to get this finished before I moved (in a week). My wonderful LA'er quilted it in 2 days. This is a lap kit from Connecting Threads. I purchased 2 kits and modified it for a queen size to give to my nephew for his wedding gift. The second kit I split the pattern and added to the side and bottom. I only had to make 5 additional blocks beyond the pattern to accomplish this. It measures 88 X 102. It was only after I finished this that I was told the bride's favorite colors are black and gray..woohoo! Lol.. It's a really cool fabric collection, which includes a sheet music fabric. My nephew is a musician so the whole thing is perfect for them. I love it when that happens. I'll be finishing the black binding in my new place so I had LA leave an inch to trim off so it wouldn't fray a bunch in transit. Connecting threads kits are very generous so I have a bunch of fabric left to make pillow shams and a few throw pillows. So relieved this is done...

Beautiful quilt with gorgeous quilting! Both designs (piecing and quilting) are so graphic and modern. I'm sure they will be over the moon with this gift!

Beautiful quilt. Immediately reminded me of some of the floor tile layouts in court houses or those type buildings.
