How much fun is that?? I look at the squares and go "That was a tote bag, that was a stack and whack, that was a Quilt of Valor, that was a log cabin." I am so glad that you were able to put them to good use. I know I never could have done something like that. I am too obsessive about matching and it gets in the way of creativity sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

I actually didn't do any of the above, it just worked out very well. I looked up online how to do a scrappy bargello, and I liked the way the one looked that was going side to side as opposed to the ones going up and down.. I sewed together scrappy strips that I liked and cut them, depending on how many strips I got from that, was what decided how it woud be in the quilt. I hope my mother in law likes it as much as everyone in here has.. Since this one will be hers. Thank you all for your wonderful comments..
