I love any little scrappy piece of fabric. I bet you could make a beautiful Christmas tree with your green strips. Love your red quilt.

I make scrappy quilts. Can't stand to waste things. I not worried about winning any prize and they are comforting no matter if they are absolutely wonderful or a great string scrappy quilt. I love quilts of all kinds.

I'm with you. I have such a hard time with scrappy quilts. I prefer controlled scrappy.
I love what you did with the red wonky stars. They are such a fun pattern to make.

I love going thru bags of scraps donated to me from two quilt guilds so I can stuff dog pillows for the local Humane Shelter. I pull out triangles for a friend, strings, larger pieces to be cut into whatever size block they will make, etc. It is fun imagining how they will work for a comfort quilt for the community. These pictures will help me tremendously. I've just started this project and haven't had the time to make the community quilts due to life's interventions. But I have good intentions. Have given 36 pillows so far this year ... there are only 12 kennels and the fur babies chew them up or take them to their forever home.

I love your quilt. Strings are great! Love the color red too. Call me a nut but I love wild and crazy scrappies too.

I love string quilts! Im always looking for new ways to make them. I have to date made 6. I make them the Heartstrings way. Mary Johnson has always been an inspiration for me. Check out her website. www.heartstrings.com for tons of free patterns!
