HI Peggy,

Well I personally believe that batting is just as important as choosing fabrics ...pattern and backing.

Batting is just as subjective as anything else.
I love quilting with it because it doesn't create lint... it doesn't bunch up...and it's affordable.

But there are many different reasons to choose batting. I choose batting based on each project..I have used bamboo, soy , cotton, poly, 80/20, wool...I decide the look I want for my project and go from there.

Thanks for the info. I may have to try it sometime soon. I usually use Hobbs 80-20 and it has always worked well for me but it doesn't mean I have to be "in a rut" if there's something else out there!

BTW all of your quilting is MAG ... I especially enjoyed the guy for a guy concept.

Peggy :)

I love the back as much as the front ...two quilts in one!

Beautiful piecing....beautiful quilt!

I think Cole used a 40 weight cotton thread..I can't really remember...he pulled out a beige colored thread and said "Will this look good MOm?..."yep"

We used Hobbs poly down batting ....Cole quilted this on an 18 INNOVA>

Thanks for looking.

Blessings.

Hi Charisma:

Tell Cole thanks for quilting this so quickly. The quilting looks lovely. It is for a young soldier from our church currently serving in Afghanistan who loves to hunt deer, but of course missed it this year. As it's just started here in WV, I wanted him to give him something to remind him of this time and to thank him for his service to our country.
