That is a beautiful top! I would say the only way to save it and do it justice is to take it apart, use new batting, etc., and finish it. Wonderful!

I agree, take it apart and put new batting in, re-quilt and bind!! It is a beautiful quilt. :thumbup:

nope, i'd leave it. i have a quilt from my husband's side of the family that has lumpy batting. it's because it's really carded cotton that they did themselves.
