I'm so glad you pointed out all your mistakes because I think I would have missed me for sure. I love the quilt and the wall hanging and I think your quests will feel pretty special when they walk into their room and see the beautiful quilt you've made for their bed and how nicely the room is decorated just for them. They may not want to leave after all. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I have to ask, where did you find the patterns? I'd love to do one of them for a really good friend as her Christmas gift.

I did not use a pattern... I just 'winged' it. The fan was first strip pieced and then cut into wedges (with a wedge ruler from Cheryl Phillips) I did some embroidery on the fan and gussied it up a bit and then just started adding borders, borders and more borders. The quilt looks a lot more complicated than it was. The wall hanging was a picture that I enlarged, cut out the elements of the picture that I wanted (keeping it as simple as possible).

Calling them "thread turds" gave me a god laugh. Thanks, I needed that. Your quilt and wall hanging are gorgeous, and put the finish to the room.
