    I got my swap blocks!!!

For the first time I participated in a swap hold in the USA!! The theme was "Winter Wonderland" and the blocks should refer to anything related to winter!!! I had to sent my blocks at the beginning of January because it will last up to 4 weeks the package will reach its destination!!
And as I'm still shocked about the lost of my Christmas package I sent to my children in SF I spent some 2 extra to get a tracking number! I could have saved this money because the tracking number told me after 10 days: " the recipient in SPAIN was not at home, we left a note,he can take it from the post office"!!!
You can imagine how shocked I was.... But at least everything went fine, my blocks arrived where they should arrive and two days ago I got mine!!!

Good for you, girl!! They are adorable! Yes, I know about having to track a pkg. My DGD, son in law & 5 darling grandkis (growing wayyy too fast, (17 to 9) they are my avatar pic taken 4 yrs ago). They live in China & in 2012 had sent them a lrg pkg of Christmas gifts. They & we kept tracking it.. finally a rep told me "good news & bad news". Good news: "We found it"! Bad news: "it's in Mexico"! So that pkg went from Texas to Chicago to Mexico to China. Took wks & wks but so far other pkgs have arrived in a reasonable time & boy, oh boy is shipping USPS expensive. Think I need to just send $.
    Thanks for sharing pics...

Oh those are lovely!! I used to be in numerous swaps over the years and they were all such fun. Mailing costs are so high these days though. (a friend in Australia is still waiting on her Christmas present from me! It's lost in the mail)

Here comes the update of the "Winter Wonderland Swap" I participated at the beginning of the year: as there is no space enough to place another wall hanging at our walls I decided to make something different out of the blocks!
As I decorate our living room throughout the year fitting to the time of year I sewed some pillow cases and some little wall hangings! Here comes the picture of my "pillow parade" and the wall hangings!

It was great to sew these pillows and thinking of the nice ladies who made the blocks! Now I'll be reminded of them every time I have a look at the cuddly cushions!
