I'm not in the US, but maybe I'll get mine by the end of the week! New York is not very far away from Montreal....

Well now. I have been excited about receiving my blocks sometime this week, but after seeing yours, Klue, I'm over the top excited! Do you just stand and stare at them? Do you know what you're going to do with them? Send them to me and I'll help you decide.   Really.......I'm a gooood helper.

Oh my gosh...I am now really getting excited! Lucky you. It looks like you got yours first. I am way at the other side of the country so I am guessing late this week or early next week.

i've been toying with the idea of doing a play on traditional vs. contemporary.

i'd break the set apart and use maybe 3 or 4 very traditional blocks, then i'm thinking to make a winding path of flying geese out of very vibrant colors. the path would go from lower left corner to upper right corner - basically a freeform curve of flying geese.

along the path i envision off ramps of flying geese that will circle around each of the 3 or 4 traditional black & white blocks.

i'll call the quilt "The Road to Tradition"

maybe i'll make 3 quilts like this - i'll keep one for me and then raffle off the other 2 tops to the people who were a member of the B&W swap.

what do you guys think about this idea?

Boy, you received yours fast. If mine isn't here today I will have to wait until we are back from our trip to see them. Have my fingers crossed that they will show up today. Miracles do happen. :!: ha And they are coming Priority.

Like your idea of the flying geese path, sounds neat.

I love your idea. I would love to have your creativity. I could just envision it while I was reading your description.
