I can see this quilt hanging in our local branch of our National Cemetery where my dad is interred.

PLEASE show us your progress, and make sure your family knows what you want to do with this quilt when it is done. All it takes is one unforeseen accident and then your family has TROUBLE!

Your work is very memorable and will be appreciated however it is used.

That's an idea. But, I kinda like the effects the front of the uniform will have with the shiney buttons and stripes.

I like the blank face idea allowing the viewer to imagine their sons or husbands. I would change the headstone, it might also be how it shows on the photo but I had to view the original picture three times to figure out what was in front of the solider (it's probably not finished and on your list). I am a little confused by the fall colored leaves on the tree and flowers growing on the side (again that could be my screen not showing the true color).

But I think its going to be awesome when your all done.

I did deviate from the picture and make fall colored leaves. And I put some roses on the side like they were growing there.
I took my seam ripper and ripped off the soldiers and flag covered casket. I have new soldiers made. I'm working on a different coffin now. I also ripped off that headstone. I didn't like the way it looked either. So, by next week it will have a whole new look. I think you will all approve of the changes I've made due to the suggestions from members here !! Can't wait to show you!! But, I will. hehehehe!!
