I use to toss my threads and scraps on the floor and clean up after my project was done. Then along came the grandbabies and I couldn't track thread and scraps where they could be found so I learned to be neater. I made little thread catchers and have them sitting next to every machine and I hang a plastic grocery bag to empty the thread catchers and dispose of larger waste. Now I can spend more time sewing and less time cleaning. I like the change.

That is my craft room on a good day!
Wow!
Okay. I will admit that I don't throw my scraps on the floor though - I do keep a waste basket next to me when I sew... but I can only strive to keep my room that clean!

No my tiny pieces goes in the trash by my sewing machine.
and the floor is kept vacuumed as well I can't stand a mess
in my sewing area are my kitchen I'd never be able to create
a quilt are Dinner if either place wasn't kept clean.

I saw this caption and had to look at the photos. I used to own a flower shop..and when I was designing..you just automatically thru the stems on the floor..then cleaned up at the end of the day. Now that I am retired..I am in my sewing room for hours on end..quilting..and guess what..the floor is horrible. My shih tzus have loose threads on them..and my husband has thread on his socks. Creative clutter is better then idle neatness..is what I always say.
