Your quilt is beautiful! Im a little slow so I actually sketched four 9 patches and marked the diagonal lines.

So....mirror imaged lines forms the center diamond. And just repeat the border around the center diamond. I get it!!!

Viewing ur post is timely as I have my 4.5 inch fabric squares cut for an I spy quilt. Was trying to come up w a plan to piece them. Your quilt Iis amazing. Thank u for posting.

Copy of my draft sketch. ......sorry having difficulty forwarding my sketch. When I get home I'll try again.
Plan to prep/sew my squares sewen on the diagonal and sew my nine patches to incl correct placement of the diagonal squares. Wont have to cut on the diagobal just place them according to the sketch.
All my squares will be 4.5 inches.

It's very nice. It's fun looking at what each square has.

Follow up...hope I have this right
Here is my draft sketch. Figure w each square at 4.5 inches this sketch will make a 72" x 72" square quilt.
qty (36 ) nine patch, 12 inch blocks
108 [/] 2 pc squares 4.5" each
216 [ ] plain squares 4.5" each

I plan to start with four nine patch blocks in the center and build from there.

Again, congratulations on your beautiful quilt.
