Some people, doesn't have to bee a man, but some people should just learn to SHUT UP! If you have nothing nice to say then zip it, or I know quite a few quilters that would HAND STITCH his mouth shut! Your work is beautiful and don't let anyone tell you different!

Your quilt is absolutely beautiful!! Some people only think that quilts should be done one way as another person on this board says "There are many roads to making a quilt... some folks hand piece, some machine piece some hand quilt and some machine quilt... some even tie the quilt. When you make something like a quilt it is full of love and creativity ... there is nothing made that has as much love as a quilt.
Your quilt is beautiful!!
Hugs

Your quilt is beautiful. I feel sad for the older man... wouldn't surprise me if watching you brought him back to a time where his mother or wife pain stakingly made a quilt from scraps & hand sewed the entire quilt (you know many times men get gruff when they get emotional). But then I'm a romantic by heart - he could have just been a miserable person. Either way it's sad. Best to wish him health and happiness.

{{{HUGS}}}

Don't ever let a grumpy old man feel make you feel like your quilt is anything less than the masterpiece it is. It is beautiful and that man was wrong.

I would have told him where he could go.

Its a gorgeous quilt. Dont know what set off the man but my goal this year is to be more tolerable of others so I'd say perhaps he was upset about his office visit.
