Your quilt is beautiful and it looks like you were using alot of your fabric in it. He probably doesn't know anything about quilting but yet he thinks he's an expert on the subject. Some people, hard to understand.

What a jerk, I hope you understand you should not take it personally. Maybe he was in a bad mood because he was having a procedure at the doctors that made him grumpy. Your quilt is just beautiful.
