This is a king size quilt I made using the pattern from Fons&Porter's Love of Quilting July/Aug 2011 issue. This one is for DH's & my bed. It's just been two years now since I started quilting and in that time this is my 3rd king size of 38 total quilts of mostly lap & queen size. My goal is to make a quilt for each one of our kids, DGK's & DGGK's, 25 in all. Have made gifts in between so still have a few left to do.
I really enjoyed doing this one and thought it would be too hard for me but wanted to take the challenge. My DH told me it was well worth it. It is now at the LAQ to be quilted. Now I need to make us a quilt with spring & summer prints.
Thank you for looking and have a GREAT DAY!

Love your quilt. I'm in the process of making quilts for all in my congregation which is very small so not as huge undertaking as you might think. Think all those you're making is a much bigger job. Anyway, I'm looking for different patterns for each quilt and this one sure fits the bill for me. Thanks for showing us. I'm not one for browns but this one is very nice and would certainly fill the bill for a "guy" quilt. Hope you show us again once you get it back from the LA. Would like to know how you quilted it.
