Thanks! I'm the only one making the quilts. Some of the ladies on the board have very generously donated fabric to my little cause which helps me out tremendously. With the price of fabric, batting and postage this is not a inexpensive project. And I do want to make quilts that I would be proud to gift to my own grandchildren. I'm working on the 5th quilt and need to make 5 more to ensure all present nursery residents get their own quilt. Eventually, I would like to get ahead so that as babies are welcomed into the nursery there is a quilt waiting for them and even allow the moms some choice as to which one they would like.

I love doing this and I'm sure I'm getting as much pleasure out of it as the recepients! Keeps me out of trouble!

These are all wonderful. I'm sure the mom's just love having them for their babies.

Thanks! I feel very lucky to be able to do this. I've received help from the wonderful ladies here also. It can get expensive when you start factoring in backing fabrics, batting, fabric and postage. I'm truly blessed to be able to do this. It brings great joy into my life.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and in its own time. I'm sure that when the opportunity and means arises for you that you will answer the call!

I know what you mean about expense. I make quilts for the NICU at a local hospital along with a group of ladies. I generally make them from my materials rather than the fabric donated to us.

The donated fabric has helped out believe me, but boy oh boy am I ever thankful for my stash....lol!! What amazes me is that I actually know what I have and can lay my hands on it when I need it. It surprises me how much of my stash is baby oriented too. I must have had an inkling of what was coming when I was buying fabric like a mad woman

If you need more baby fabric, please let me know. I have tons and don't expect anymore little grandchildren and I better not have any great grandchildren for quite a while ! I will gladly donate fabric for a cause like this.
