I wanted to mail, but still don't have a postcard. I will probably go hunting for one this weekend when I am in San Francisco, so my mailing will go out on the 1st!

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Guys, I love all the centers that have been done, especially on mine, thank you very much Counselor!! But I have a question.

What would you do if you absolutely hated the border someone put on your center? If you say you don't like it after it's done, you risk sounding witchy. I don't think that anyone would be prepared to speak up. So, what would you advise if you were the person who cringed every time she looked at what was done to her center?

you could always donate the quilt when you got it back...there are lots of people that could use a quilt to keep them warm.

You've missed the point. You put a lot of time and effort into your center, and you love it. And love all the rest of the borders. Except for one. Do you tell the person you really don't care for it? Or rip it off and replace it when you get it back ( what a pain in the ass to do!!)

everyone is doing their best work and adding what they think works best in each round. this is a chance you take....I wouldn't say anything unless the person says they can change if you don't like it before they send it on

Actually I've decided that the best way to handle the situation would be to PM the NEXT person and ask if they woiuldn't PLEASE have a terrible accident with their rotary cutter!

Chew, I do know what the rules say about gracefully accepting your fininshed quilt. But if you really don't like a border, do you lie to the person who posted it, or damn them with faint praise, or not post a response at all, or be honest and say that you really don't care for it and give them a chance to redo it? I know that all of us really want to please the owners of each centers. I would really want someone to tell me that they don't care for my concept, and ask for a revision. It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all, and I would respect them more.
