I need to hit up a couple of quilt shops in the area, my store doesn't have the right kind of fabric that I want for the project. If I can't find the chicken wire fabric, I'm going to piece a lattice border and see how that turns out.

Lattice sounds cool Mel, don't bust a gut. Or perhaps it's NOT a chore to go schlepping round quilt stores?!

LOL!
Well, I've been waiting to see the new collections we'd get in my store, we usually have some great stuff, but we don't have specifically what I want this time... so I'll make a quick trip to a few quilt stores around here (plus their prices are MUCH more expensive than what I would pay at my store) and if they don't have exactly what I want, then I'll start planning out the lattice fence.

I got three different ones:

Beautiful Quiltagami: New Ideas for Fabric Folding
A Fresh Twist on Fabric Folding: 6 Techniques, 20 Quilts
Fantastic Fabric Folding: Innovative Quilting Projects.

I got them all on ebay for less than $30.00 total.

If you can be here by 8.30am tomorrow, you can!

He'd be thrilled! He's always a bit trembly lipped when packages come with stuff for me and the kids and nothing for him ('what about the DHs, why don't you lot send them stuff?!')

PS - Even stuff for Dougal Dog and Barney Cat - THAT really gets his goat!

Poor Hans! Tell him I'll make it up to him. Somehow. But you'll have to tell me some of his likes, tastes, etc. Does he like spicy/hot stuff?
