What a wonderful, wonderful gift you've made for your daughter and her teacher. The teacher must be petite--her handprint looks not much bigger than the kids' prints. LOL She is going to cherish this quilt forever, and like Julia said, it'll get her through many rough days and always remind her of her first class. As a former teacher, I can say the first class is always special. As for rookie teachers, they bring so much passion and energy and creativity that more than makes up for inexperience. My daughter taught first grade (lasted only two years in a very rough public school) but she loved those kids. Thank you on behalf of teachers everywhere. They do shape lives.

Just adorable. And what a special memory for her first year of teaching. Something she will talk about and treasure for years to come. Very thoughtful of you.

What an amazingly thoughtful thing to do!
I can’t think of a more appropriate gift.

I love everything about this quilt: the border, the backing, the color of the thread you chose to quilt with, love love love this quilt. Fantastic job! This teacher is fortunate to have gotten such a great first group of kids with you as parents in the mix.

One of the best "quilts for a teacher" I have seen.

Wonderful quilt!!! That teacher is going to love it. I'm so happy Emmaline had a good first year. Hard to believe she's already finished kindergarten!!!
