    I used abdconsultant pattern shown here...http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-110832-1.htm

    I added some thin flannel as batting. ( u dont want the batting very thick)

    I had circles of polka dot fabric , cut them in half, added the "v" wedge between the wings and a head... Machine appliciques those on to the solid brown side in various sizes.....
    When I sewed the circles together u get the solid brwon side over the pink with brown dots side creating a 2 sided quilt. I opted to leave the outer " brown petals" open to create a scalloped edge.

    Thanks everyone for looking and the encouraging words!!But I'm really sick of circles and lady bugs for a while!!! back to straight seams and traditional quilting! LOL

    Very darling!!! I love ladybugs and will be doing my classroom in ladybugs this year. Can't wait till the fabric gets to me in the mail.
