What a tribute to your son and his firemen friends; and a beautiful quilt.

Thanks for all the nice words. The quilt actually hung on the Fire Department wall for a month or so.......I got orders to do 3 more.....so it was good business for me.

Would love to know the name of this quilt pattern. I have already made various firemen related embroidery squares with my embroidery machine. I have been wanting to do someting with them for my son who is Chief at his volunteer fire department (in a quilt) but haven't seen anything that has caught my eye....until right now. Can you pass it on or is this a pattern that you came up with? It is beautiful. This is a three alarm quilt!!!! (PS--Born & raised in Albion Mi but have lived in the south for almost 43 years)

That quilt was made from a pattern called Queen Siz Memories by Calico Carriage Designs and this was a design by Debbie Maddy. I love the way it makes up. I embroidered the center blocks with fire related stuff. Then the big outer areas, I cut in one piece so that the piece that I wanted to use for the names to be embroidered on would have no seams. PM me if you would like me to send you the pattern. It was a huge hit at the Fire Dept.
