Well, K, the duckies all read the ugly fabrics threads and they blushed and waddled away as fast as they could.  So, when they left me, I went to the garden and took different pictures of my flowers -- and I love my cosmos.

Thank you all, again, for the nice comments. After I had the top all done, I wasn't sure if I had made the right choices in colors. And what didn't help was that my mother said she liked the quilt but didn't like the fabrics I chose. Your responses have given me encouragement. You all are great.

Is the tiny border black or dark brown?
Thank you. Kj05, it's funny you should ask about the inner border. My first thought was to make it dark brown, then decided on black. I think either one would have looked good.

Ducky - there's a cartoon on British TV my kids watch where one of the little birds when she likes something says 'spicy!'. This applies to your quilt - those lovely warm colours are like a spice stall in Marrakech. I love it!
