This quilt was made for the local fire police as part of raffle at the carnival. We have a huge 4th of July parade and the theme is our high school and the sports teams. High school colors are blue and white. Yellow stars are in the border and the back just couldn't be plain.

That's beautiful Mimee - I love the stars! I have a pattern for something similar to that sent to me by Skeat - hmm, I could do it in blue and white! I hope yours raises lots of money - it deserves to!

    Mimee

What a beautiful quilt - I have to agree with the everyone elses comments too with regards to the gold fabric. Infact it puts me in mind of Christmas - oops sorry to have to mention that word

You posted who the pattern is by - I haven't heard of it over here on the pond, is it a PP or FP pattern.

Hope your successful in raising funds too for a well deserved cause.

I did one very similar with blue background and yellow stars - and like a dodo, I didn't take a picture. Yours looks very pretty.

Very nice! Are the stars pieced or are they appliqued?
