Query: what quilt as you go method did you use? I am working on my first D9P for a king sized bed and would like to quilt it on one of my domestic machines. The QAYG method quilts and instructions I have been researching all have the look of strips between the blocks. Your quilt does not. If I am capable of doing one without the lattice or strip appearance, I'd like to but if not I guess there's always quilting by hand. (Hand quilting is wonderful but I have intelligent machines and really dumb fingers. And I take blood thinners and bleed like crazy. The D9P is blues, greens, and white. No blood colors yet.)

    Thanks,

    Pat

I was wondering also about the QAYG method used. I don't see any connecting strips, and I thought that is how others did it - and I would prefer not to also.

I usually don't use connecting strips, I think it is called flip and stitch. Not sure, I have been doing it this way for a long time. You can check out Kaye Wood's 6 hour quilt to see the basic idea

No quilting by hand or sewing strips on the back. Check out Kaye Woods 6 hour quilt video. That's basically what I use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOTV-YSF-48
