Your quilt is gorgeous. What pattern did you use?

I used these directions. It's been a long time since I did a log cabin but I think I put the next strip on the top when sewing it. These instructions were nice with the next strip on the bottom and just putting each block on top to sew it. I got used to the "always keep the last strip towards your belly" and only once did I sew a strip on the wrong side.

Very nice quilt!! And, in one of my favorite fabric lines, too. The log cabin is also one of my favorite patterns.

I love it! The star layout is on list, I have not done that layout yet. My favorite layout of all time is the Barn Raising.
I have borders to put on one this week, it will go toward the monthly UFO challange.

I'm single and I live alone, that's how I find the time.

I come home from work, put on some PJs or sweats, make coffee or maybe a cocktail (depends on how I feel at the moment), check email, chat with my kids online or on phone, and usually end up doing something either on the computer or in the sewing room while listening to TV.

I rarely cook just for myself, there's no one to pick up after so there's not a lot of housekeeping to do. I have small yards so once every couple of weeks I mow the lawn and take care of flowers. I belong to a ladies group and go out to dinner, brunch, lunch, movies, or a club, etc. occasionally. A man friend that I see occasionally too.

What else am I supposed to do but indulge myself and do what I enjoy doing? 8)
That makes two of us, only I am retired and do have a furbaby. I love being able to do as I please. Been a widow since 2002, husband had Alzhiemer's for 7 1/2 years and in institution for 5 of those years, so been a widow since 1998 basically. I am enjoying my quilting and computer. Take care. mary
