Great machine! I have a Kenmore that is about 45 yrs old, and it is a workhorse! Was even in a flood, stayed underwater for 3 days, and still sews like a dream!

You are one fortunate gal. The old machines sure do work better than the newer ones, and as somebody said, they are all metal and not much can go wrong with them. I grew up with a New Home which we bought new in 1951, if I remember right. Had it for many years. The only thing wrong with the metal ones, is that you can't take them to a class. They are too heavy. Have fun with yours.
