Oh, I'm jealous! I'd love to get my paws on something like that! I would have a hard time not going over to it every few minutes to either stare at it or stroke it! So glad you found it.

It is great and what a wonderful cabinet. If I had known that I would be so into quilting, I would have kept my Grandma's treadle machine. It was not in such a wonderful cabinet though.

    I am jealous!

Drawing Room cabinets are not that common around here and I have been trying to find one in good condition. Your machine is a Model 127 in case you wanted to know and if you go to the Singer site with your serial number you can find out how many were allotted and what year it was manufactured.

    A wonderful score indeed!!!!

Thank you everyone :) I contacted the Singer Company and they sent me information on the machine.

She is a model 127 and she was manufactured June 3, 1922, in St. John's. Her decal is the "Memphis" design or as some refer to it, the "Sphinx".

    I can't wait to use her! :)

isn't that just amazing! just so incredibly cool!
I am thinking, if you went over every few minutes and stroked it, any dry wood would just spring to life with the oils of your hands <g>
