I agree with everyone else, I like it. I would even like to make it.

It's a nice quilt, in a subtle way. It doesn't "pop" which is probably what you wanted, but it's still a lovely quilt. You did a good job on your points - don't worry if they don't come out perfect - no one will really notice anyway.

I think you need to stand back and take it all in and not just focus on what you aren't happy with.
It is pretty.

You are too hard on yourself! We had a speaker come to the guild a few months ago and the entire talk was about making quilts like this! She had such a parade of similar value quilts and has several books on how to do just this look! You are right in there and did not know it!

I think it is a lovely quilt, although not very simple. I suspect that you have some irregularity with your seam widths, causing the problems that bothered you. For a new quilter, its a good idea to recheck your seam widths as you go along so you can fix them easily and avoid problems with subsequent steps, not that there is anything wrong with the way your flimsy looks. I tend to trim/check blocks before I sew them together as well.

don't put yourself down. You did an excellent job.

I have been quilting for several years and there are those quilts that just don't want to be controlled, no matter what.
