You should submit that story to the TV stations. They love happy endings like this. And the fact that a 9 year old made the quilt and that you went to the hassle of finding the rightful owner....just wonderful. A great story.

You are an Angel to at least two people, the 9 year old and the new baby. What a thoughtful and generous thing you did.

The quilt is amazing, what a talented child. This story should remind all of us to include a label or some kind of identification right on the quilt.
Such a kind person to go to the trouble to search out the owner. Wouldn't it be nice for the owner to document the story and include it when the quilt is passed down.
    I love this story!!!!!

    That's great news!

When I sent a quilt (Priority Mail) last year, I wanted to insure it, but the postal employee told me that, unless I could produce receipts for the cost of everything, I could not collect any insurance money. I also enclosed a gift card for another child and it was uninsurable. I did get tracking, though. How do you insure a quilt when you send it?

The baby's family mentioned that they wanted to do something like that.
